last night my friend amy and i went to our first giants game. we were super laggers and only made it for the last two innings. but we did make it in time to grab some beers. priorities! we had fun even though the giants lost the game. afterwards we ended the night with escape from new york pizza and another beer in the neighborhood. ah, the guilt. we had such a great time so it was worth it. but i have to admit a major run is on my agenda tonight!

it’s been a little bit since my last post. i’ve been as busy as can be: grading, running, spring cleaning like no other, and street selling (not too much luck on this go round). things have been going quite well lately (finally got the desk all finished) and i’m looking forward to so many cool adventures coming up. our friend adrianna is visiting soon (can’t wait to show her sf), we’re heading to nyc in about three weeks, and i just recruited a bunch of friends to run bay to breakers again this year. woo-hoo! lots of fun events to come. ah, spring is almost here.

as for the rest of the weekend, i’m planning on making a slow cook soup tomorrow and taking a longer run. i need to start upping my milage in preparation for bay to breakers and another half marathon in june. a full marathon is not happening. i was trrrippin’! as long as i beat my race times from last year i’ll be happy. so basically i’m in competition with myself!

i just got back from a weekend trip to san luis obispo. anne ‘s family invited me to join in on their little trip down the central coast. it was nice! we dropped by the mission and a museum, visited quant beach towns, and shopped around a bit. i found some really good deals while shopping in downtown san luis obispo so i was pretty excited about that! i found a black chiffon maxi skirt at urban outfitters and a pretty shift dress from gap. both are great basics that fit well and were super reasonable (about 15 bucks each). i’ll be taking the maxi skirt to nyc next month. it will be great to wear over doubled up tights. oh and that brings me to another point (or promise i’m making myself). no more shopping for clothes/accessories until nyc… no matter how good the deal may be. i’m officially on hiatus!

there’s nothing like a blazer to make me (and my day) feel more put together. it’s been one of those days. hell, it’s been one of those weeks! and this outfit has me wishing i was sipping on a black & tan instead of merely wearing it. sheeesh, this girl needs a break. i’m so ready for the three day weekend and i’m hoping it’s filled with biking, cooking, listening to records, taking photographs, and above all, sleeping in. a museum day and/or visit to the botanical gardens will definitely be thrown into the mix as well. ah, we’re almost there. enjoy!

i know you might be thinking “enough with the stripes already, girl!” but i can’t help it… i have a sea of stripes in my closet and i love them all. i decided to take a spring/summer dress and remix it for the sunny yet chilly weather. all the dress needed was a bright sweater and my favorite grey tights and i was on my way. get ready to see more remixing on the blog. brian and i are going to nyc in march and i would like to stop (or majorly cut back) on shopping so that i can do some there. can’t wait for that! tons of beautiful clothes and fashionable new yorkers… sign me up!

what a shocker! i’m wearing stripes, bf jeans, and booties. hopefully my outfit predictability isn’t making you snore. what can i say? i’m an eternal stripe lover. however, this is the first time i have worn peplum (can’t wait to wear this top with shorts and wedges in the spring/summer). doesn’t that count for something? haha. time to finish my coffee and run out the door. have a good day!
