with spring on the horizon i couldn’t help but gather some dream garments and accessories for the season, especially since i won’t be shopping until then anyway. good thing there’s always polyvore to give me my “shopping” fix. when i do get to hit the stores again i’ll be eyeing lots of black and white, orange (those swedish hasbeens are so cute), and navy. a pinafore is a must this spring as well. i’m sure these picks aren’t much of a surprise (maybe even predictable?). these pieces would be perfect for picnics, trips to the museum, and little adventures with brian. any dreamy pieces or colors you’re looking forward to this spring?
p.s. i know i’m on hiatus, but that backpack is perfect for travel. let’s hope i don’t fail too soon.

office.
this weekend was spent sanding down, priming, and painting our desk (i did it all myself and i’m kinda proud. brian is pretty proud too). the paint isn’t even dry yet and i’m already planning out how to organize all the goods, add greenery, pops of color, and light. i’ll have to post before and after photos when the job is done!

on sunday brian and i went to the beach and dropped by a little garden afterward where i snapped these photos. as i was looking at them i couldn’t help but gaze at the colors and wish we could redecorate the apartment! the hues are just so tranquil. mid century + raw elements.
naturally, i hopped on polyvore and found dream pieces inspired by the colors and textures in the garden. i would like to incorporate more raw elements in our apartment and create an organic feel by adding more plants, wood grain, and glass. we really need a terrarium. so what do you think of bringing the outside in?

1. black and white striped tops. seriously, in my mind i can never have enough of them.
2. pearl studs: i’ve been wearing pearls almost everyday for the last ten years. can’t live without pearls!
3. essential bobby pins.
4. booties: madewell zip code (they go with everything).
5. bag: mahogany vintage coach willis. always classic.
6. lips: perfectly red- red lipstick!
7. note pads: i’m a serious list maker.
8. dark skinny jeans: saving for some j brand denim.
9. to make me smile: plants and flowers for brightening up the apartment.
10. my signature scent: coco mademoiselle.
11. favorite eye cream: clinique all about eyes.
12. coffee: my eternal love (that i’ve had to majorly cut back on lately).

dear sweaters,

i love the four of you equally. to my geometric lovely, i’m not sure my closet will be complete without you! dearest peter pan collar, i need you, i want you, i looove you! polka dots, i can’t get enough of you! and to my eternal love, stripes- i will always adore you forever and ever! why can’t i have every single one of you? why do you have to break the bank? we’re going to have to do something about this! pronto.
