lately i’m all about the navy, baby! i just can’t seem to get enough of it. shorts, sweaters, dresses, tights- you name it! i can’t get over little pins either, like my froggy for example. i do realize it’s spring and i should be wearing floral prints and pastels but that just hasn’t happened for me yet. i’m too in love with layering cable knits over collared dresses- i adore the timeless look. i feel like i’m doing this all the time but it’s actually beneficial here in sf (that and a pair of tights on hand in my bag) since the weather is often quite chilly. like i have said time and time again, in san francisco one must always be prepared for that cool and sometimes icy ocean breeze that creeps up really fast even on the warmest of days. i swear we have one, maybe two magical nights a year when one can wear skirts and tanks at night comfortably and that’s about it!

as for my current style obsessions, i suppose they’re a little granny-esque mixed with some prep, but i’m okay with it! next on my list is to try something pastel. that will be a bold move for me. we shall see how that goes.

tata for now, lovelies!

till next time,

just dropping by to say have a wonderful weekend and easter sunday. it looks like we will be spending our easter sunday in dolores park with dear friends. it is going to be so much fun! here’s hoping for some warm and sunny weather. i tell ya, sf weather is so unpredictable which makes choosing outfits challenging. traveling to sf? here’s a tip, carry a big bag stuffed with a scarf, sweater, and tights if you are wearing a skirt. when the temperature drops… it DROPS! :)

have a wonderful weekend with friends and family!

 still in love with sonoma…

after a full day of rain the sky was clear and the weather was warm. i can’t complain about the rain though because it was so relaxing and it gave us the perfect excuse for a spa day. our trip to sonoma was fantastic, although i think i may have gained ten pounds from eating soooo much (food posts to follow). anne kept saying “you are on vacation and if you don’t gain weight you didn’t have enough fun!” well, we had fun all right! as for my outfit, my dress is about ten years old which is vintage for my closet. i still love it. polka dots are always classic and easy to wear and mix with just about anything. another obsession? navy blue-i just can’t get enough!

till next time,

MY LOVE
TIME TO EAT…
LUNCH!

last saturday brian and i decided we would try mission chinese. i love asian cuisine. i think i could eat vietnamese, thai, or japanese food everyday without complaint, but i have to admit that chinese food is often at the bottom of my list. anyway, we walked over to mission chinese and for once there wasn’t a huge wait, so we figured it was the time to give it a try. for starters, we ordered the szechuan pickles and hot & sour cucumbers. then we ordered the thrice cooked bacon and mongolian long beans as our entrees. the portions were huge and the service was excellent. my final verdict? the food was tasty and had a unique flavor in comparison to other chinese restaurants i have tried- but it was still a little on the heavy side. with that said, i would recommend giving the thrice cooked bacon entrée (vegan) a try, which was my favorite dish out of everything we tried.
…..
after lunch we walked around and enjoyed the sun. it was the perfect day for my new hat and orange shorts! brian wanted to shoot photos on capp, not the most picturesque street in sf. but in the end, he was right and i really liked the backdrop. it was a great day. now i’m looking forward to the three day weekend coming up!
have a fab week!
till next time,
